Spotlight on "Norway Records" Alpine Utah Bob Madsen - Producer | Musician | Filmmaker Born and raised in Northern California, Bob Madsen began his musical career at the age of fourteen. “Bobby” as he was known by friends, played guitar for several San Francisco area rock and folk bands from the age of fourteen, and by the age of nineteen had played gigs in most of the top clubs and venues throughout Northern California. “My first love was always music, and particularly musical performance” states Madsen. "I believe that my interest in musical performance is really what drove my desire to become a Filmmaker and Producer." After setting a promising musical career aside to go on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for two years, Madsen reconvened his musical career by writing and playing guitar on several albums including the bands "Talon" and "Shadowfax". “My interest in just playing and writing music began to shift into the music production and film scoring industries”. For the past decade Madsen has been scoring films, Commercials, as well as Producing Albums and Demos, for up and coming artists. Today, Bob Madsen runs “Norway Records” an independent label with a goal of signing artists to lucrative record deals. "We are not the typical record label in the traditional sense; we represent artists and help them find the label that best suits their needs". With 20 years of experience and many signed artists, Madsen feels that Norway Records is in a unique position to give each artist the absolute best chance for success in this confusing and crazy industry.
