Documentary Synopsis:

 Born and raised in the Mormon colonies of Juarez Mexico, Bert Whetten (a twin) was murdered two weeks after returning from an LDS Mission, and on the day he was to be married.

 The day he was murdered, Bert and his brother John had offered to accompany their father to help him clear up a recent land dispute with longtime friends and neighbors the Gonzalez family. In a sudden flurry of anger Hilberto Gonzalez (the oldest son) brandished his weapon and killed Bert in cold blood. Esteemed by all that knew him, the anguish of the tragic loss of Bert Whetten was beyond description.

This documentary explores the range of unique emotions and reactions that Bert's 9 surviving siblings had in dealing with the aftermath of this terrible tragedy. From overpowering feelings of hate and revenge to peaceful interludes of hope and forgiveness, each family member explains their individual inspirational journeys to resolution and peace.
